Item: 1 gray wool v-neck sweater

I got this sweater at Old Navy about 5 years ago.  A friend of mine independently got the same sweater somewhere around the same time, but it looked totally different on her.  How does this work, the alchemy of a piece of clothing with the personality of an individual?  If the same article functions in a completely different way from person to person, then the possibilities are almost limitless.  No wonder fashion is so fascinating.

This sweater is such a basic piece that it's not even close to outliving its utility, nor am I likely to get tired of it.  It's so simple, in fact, that it's hard to think of anything else to say about it.  But these are the kinds of things a person depends on, the ones that can always relied upon to work.
